It’s about 5 weeks old, the other auto I planted with it hasn’t started flowering yet. I just noticed this one was turning yesterday and then this today. So is there a chance it wasn’t mature enough to spray pollen yet? I’ve got 3 females in veg and 2 more autos.
Also, since I haven’t switched to 12/12 yet, if I just keep them in veg for another couple weeks, would the pollen die before any could pollinate one? One female does have preflowers, can that get pollinated?
I’m gonna be pissed if I ruin this grow, it’s the Patriot mix-pack, my AK-47 and Sour Diesel are huge, I topped them both, and the Bubblegum is a week behind.
I found an article that said it’s like hermies, sometimes feminized autos just quirk and turn out male. It also said if it pollinated another auto, you’d get auto seeds, but they’d be male and female.
Either way, I’m wiping, spraying, and waiting, I don’t care so much about the autos, but my AK and SourD are both big, lush, and bushy!
You may have got lucky and got that plant out of there before pollen went flying. The pollen sacs look pretty fresh so I don’t think they are any opened yet. For your sake anyways. My thing is there’s really no way to know for sure a seed is female. I’ve seen diagrams of different ways to go about sexing a seed but I feel there is alway the possibility you could get a male so u just need to keep on them. I think u will b ok if you do the cleaning and remove the plant. I had a crappy outdoor grow one of them covert type back in the day and when I checked on them I had males that looked like yours and I just plucked them and walked them far away and nothing ever got pollinated and I wasn’t careful when I did it and it was a rainy night so that may have helped so just keep on them and I think u will b ok
@bob31 this just happens to me. I got the sweet mix pack for ilgm and tried out one Zkittlez auto. About 3 1/2 weeks from seed it started showing balls everywhere and no female parts in sight. I had to kill her and start over. I did email ilgm support and they have helped a lot. At first they said my plant was a herm but then they said it is actually a male. So I began to ask them how would a male seed end up in a batch of feminized autos and they said that sometimes the feminization proccess sometimes can go wrong and it’s a very rare occasion that that could happen. Hopefully they are right about that and all the other seeds will be okay. They did offer to give me another seed but I told them to hold off until I find out what this next Zkittlez shows sex. This is my first time getting seeds from them and I can say that they are extremely helpful and answered most of my questions and responsed very quickly. From the sound of it I’m beginning to think that I just got very unlucky and they are correct on that seed just being a very rare thing to happen. Would like some input from you and maybe some other people to this situation as I’m very new to growing autos. Thanks.

They are correct and you should have them send you replacements if they offered its possible you got a bad batch of seeds it happened to me as well and they made everything right

If possible I would also include any emails you had when you originally contacted them when they made the offer to replace

Last year all of my seats came from ilgm and I will tell you one thing. Ilgm’s customer service is fantastic. All you got to do is give them your order number of the seeds that the batch came out of they might ask you a couple of germinating questions other than that they don’t put up no beef they will replace them I can attest to that.
