And can anyone tell me f this is a lady bug or a lady beetle wasn’t in tent but was in the room of???
That’s a ladybug, and they won’t hurt your plants. They eat other bugs that will hurt your plants. I’ve had them show up in my house in the past, I think they hitchhike in on clothing or pets. They can fly so that’s a possibility too.
Quick question for everyone. What exactly is foxtailing on a plant??? Pics would be great so I know what to look for/I believe my last grow had it happen and shortly after that plant Hermed out on us! Thank you everyone!!!
Foxtailing is an overgrowth of new pistils on a plant that’s pretty much finished. It’s called that because the growths look like fox tails, literally. Here’s a post from elsewhere on the site showing some pictures of foxtailing. Slowpoke did it a bit, but not super long tails.
I looked at the link but am still confused is it the small green growth/like tiny leaves peeking outta the buds or is it something else???
They made like side sprouts on your buds. They grow new whitr pistils on ripe buds.
Here’s the girls today just doing some slight Lst so we figured we would share some pics!!! What do y’all think so far???
Looking good!
First, the girls look good and healthy. I want to offer some tips for future grows, now that you have the basics well in hand.
Start your training early. You have a huge height difference between your main cola and your secondaries which makes it harder to get that even canopy that screen use is intended to accomplish. I started training some of my babies between 2-3 weeks old. I found that when I waited a bit longer, I got one large main and smaller sides - the Christmas tree look. The only ones with mostly even heights were started in that 2-3 week window.
If you prefer to let them grow naturally, that’s fine too, some people feel that the greater size of the main more than makes up for additional side branches. You can harvest in stages if you need to to allow the lower branches to ripen more.
Once you’ve got an adequate stash established, you might want to do a grow with a couple of plants and try some different things if you want to learn about training. My last grow was five productive plants, and the next one is going to be two - one photo, one auto.
Merlin44 does scrog grows really well, and soon when his current seedlings are in training, he will post pictures and describe what he’s doing. I’ll tag his journal here … or at least will try, LOL, I haven’t linked another’s journal before, at least not successfully … I think.
I think that worked … well enough.
AfgVet also does excellent scrogs, but I’m new to her journal and I don’t know if she describes her training. I think that @kaptain3d might know. And, @kaptain3d what is the best way to link a journal into another journal?
That’s a great idea! I should watch that too. Hopefully, using the Autopots will allow me to focus more on training and less on feeding, mixing, Yada yada.
The same way you did with @merlin44 's .
Just start with post 1 if you want your friends to start from the top
Thanks, lemme give it a try …
Actually, how about at the very end, as his starts in 2018, ha!
OK, it’s at the most recent post.
@Twelve1 I haven’t really posted much on the actual scrog training lately but I will for sure when I start round 2
