M.I.L.K.: Man I Love Kush: Rise of the Babies!

This will be the place where I’ll document all my indoor experiments with different Kush strains. The first Kush I have ever grown came form ILGM. It was an OG Kush and had an amazing buzz and flavor. I then tried ILGM’s Banana Kush. And I got hooked! Real banana flavor (when vaped with a decent vaporizer)! I was amazed. So now I’m looking for the same wonder I felt when I first tried these two. And I am chasing those terpenes flavor. I’m discovering a whole new world and loving every minute of it. (even the failures = learning occasions!)

Materials available :
Grow tent : 60’’ x 32’’ x 80"
Lights : 2 Mars Hydro 1000w led.
16" oscillating fan
4" exhaust fan
Inkbird heat and humidity controller

For nutrients, I have a good amount of AN products available :face_with_monocle:
Grow, Bloom, Micro
Cal-Mag
B-52
Big Bud
Overdrive
Out of Bud Candy atm.
Flawless Finish

Presently I have 2 Bruce Banner #3 in their seventh week of flowering in the tent. As soon as they are done, I will clean and disinfect everything and I will be ready to start exploring the wonderful world of Kushes!

I already sprouted 3 seeds a couple of weeks ago (about 4 weeks) and now have :
I Banana Kush (Ilgm) female
2 Lemon Kush soon to be sexed!

I don’t have a lot of experience, but I learn fast!
Being in a place where we can only grow 4 plants per household at a time, I have to make this as productive as possible considering what I have to work with!

So my first question would be : Coco or soil? And why one over the other?
For now I am using Pro-Mix with Myco…

I’ll tag a few people I know, but everybody is more than welcome to comment and suggest to their hearts liking! Thanks in advance!!!

Later today, I will post some pictures of the Mothers to be!

Glad to see you making yourself at home  I’m a soil gal for now but plan on trying coco in the future.

I prefer Promix to coco as it’s a bit airier. I get nearly double the growth using coco or Promix compared to soil. Hydro is still king though.

Thanks for the input. I have to write it down since I’m out of likes atm.

One day! I’ll have to try it just so I can look at them roots anytime I want

Come on, lady! You need to do a Promix HP grow. It’s badass.

That was my first choice but @Not2SureYet says coco is where it’s at. But he did tell me that it is higher maintenance with the waterings compared to soil.

Set to watching, I am really loving coco so far, no problems at all, just have to find your groove and stay in it. Good luck, and cant wait to see what the future holds.

It definitely is, but that’s one of the reasons I like it.

If you have the patience to run them in coco, I prefer that to soil or Promix. It takes daily care though and more time. If you set up a self watering system with a res, it makes it a lot easier too.

That it would!

Ok, excuse my noobiness! But what is a res?

And, by the way, I am really enjoying all your inputs. So give yourselves a handful of likes people!

That would be a reservoir, I dont have one yet but I will one day, maybe, but it’s where you can mix up your water and nutrients, and get it ph-ed and that’s where your automatic watering system would get its water from.

Ok here’s the promised pictures. Keep in mind they are under some underpowered lighting, and I am trying to control the spacing of the nodes by playing with the lights (just to practice). No heating mat for now also. The burned tips comes from being in contact with the domes I had in place when I sprayed a bit of “fish juice” inside the domes. But all the new growth is fine and healthy looking. These are not great picts, they were taken at five this morning before leaving for work!

Here goes nothing :
The Banana Kush female (by ILGM) :

The first Lemon Kush (unsexed yet) :

The second Lemon Kush (also unsexed) :

The Plan : Try to keep these vegging as long as possible and use them as mothers for the new clones.
When my tent becomes available, I will grow 2 plants from veg to flower indoors. And I will grow 2 more outside next outdoor season!

Little observation : It’s interesting to note how the Lemon Kush seems to have more Indica than the Banana Kush. :face_with_monocle:

Looking good. And I think @MattyBear needs to get on the self watering system so I can copy it
