I’m by no means an expert, in fact quite the opposite. I just broke my prettiest auto trying to use a landscape stake to start LST. I’m going to give it another go tonight with rubber coated wire.
Point of this post is I found something useful for LST. Instead of paying more for fabric pots with grommets you can just add your own. I got grommet pliers and 100 grommets for $3.99 at Harbor Freight. They had the same thing with a different label at Walmart for $5.48.
I also got a fifty foot spool of heavy galvanized wire at Lowe’s. Going to use it to reinforce the pots so the tops don’t flop over. I had no idea that grommet pliers were a thing. Just thought I’d let everyone know about my find. I hope it helps someone out.
I’ll probably post again later and see if I have the LST started correctly.
