Does anyone know when to start LST? I’ve watched a bunch of videos but everything seems to say between 2-4 weeks is when you start the process for autoflower. My problem is that mine seemed to stretch some and it’s past 4 weeks old. In most of the videos I’ve seen people have a lot of big leaves at this point and are able to pull the main cola down leaving other branches to grow upwards, but with how little my branches are - if I pull the main cola down … well to be honest idk it just doesn’t seem right. I’ve attached pictures
Any guidance would be so appreciated!
Sorry for rambling and not being very clear

She stretched alot unfortunately my main questions are what kind of light are you using and how far away is it from the plant?

@The1stTimer
oof I was worried about that
So I have a Mars Hydro TS 1000 and it’s about 24 in” from soil
Though it was on the lowest setting, I just turned it up a few days ago
And initially the light was higher

More intensity will get rid of the stretch for ya

Dont adjust too quickly. Baby steps. Too much change can be more hurtful then helpful.
Also no problem! Happy growing

There’s an app you can get for you phone to measure light intensity- Photone. You really need a meter, the manufacturer guidelines are usually pretty useless.

Yeah that light is only 100w from the wall its a solid little light as @PurpNGold74 said turn the light up and drop it a tad here is a par map with different heights for that unit you can turn it up all the way at 100% and set it at say 20-25in from the top of the plant id also just recommend propping the girl up if possible

Great suggestion! A high chair will definitely help

@The1stTimer @PurpNGold74 @CurrDogg420 Thanks!!!
So she’s actually on her side because I tied her down attempting LST, she actually stands fine on her own but am I right that she’s not ready for that, ?
I’ve heard about the app- but I’ve heard it’s only really accurate for iPhone- is that correct?

The training looks good. She should turn ‘her head’ back up and be facing the light by tomaro morning.
Not too early, but she’s had a bit of a rough go. Keep an eye on her

As purp said you should be good just take it slow and keep a eye on her

Looks like that may be true about the phones. Maybe it’s time for an upgrade?

@Lorenda_x I’m using the same light, I did that with my first plant too where I had it a little too high and the intensity was on 50% without me knowing so my Girl Scout stretched a little bit. I keep the light way closer these days. Careful turning up the intensity,I figured about a week in I’d just randomly turn it up to 100%, the plant will get way bigger…I burned the hell outta my bottom set of leaves
This is my GG4 with the exact same light right now

No prob at all, I’m outta likes btw otherwise I’d show some luv
just letting u see what ur light is capable of, I’ve still got a few weeks left on the GG4 til she’s ready to chop but that TS1000 light really is solid. I didn’t expect it to be as efficient as it is at all

I heard good things about it from forums on here, which prompted me to purchase it.
