Looks like sweat stains on sprouts

Got a few sprouts that have what looks like sweat stains. Did get water this a.m. it’s about 90 here.

Are you using hard water? Or tap water? Looks like a salt buildup from spraying with hard water, just my opinion though

Tap and the ph is Just under 7

Do you have a water softener or is your water hard? That’s just what happens when I spritz my plants with my water which is pretty hard(has a lot of salt in it)

Just checked TDS around 200 from tap.

After a little drizzle it looks like it washed off. But still, don’t need a reoccurring thing.

My water is usually in the 380s and I never saw that but it does look like salt. That’s a new one on me!

Gee my tap water is close to 500 ppm and never had the problem. It does look like salt but I new to all this as well.

I can’t spray my plants without this happening but I know it’s just from my hard water :unamused: but hey what can you do, work with what you got :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah pretty much lol I’ve drank it and grown quite well. Just have to keep an eye on it.

Just trying to keep it moist and not over do it. Been in the 90s the past few days and seems like the soil dries out fast. Where I have them, definitely getting a full 18 hrs a day of direct sun.

Where you at brotha, I’m in southern California the desert and it’s been windy as shit here haha first day out of months that it hasn’t been windy and close to 85 outside

NH. New England is difficult weather to deal with. The other night it was 45 and last few 80. Looked into the almanac showing a hot semi wet summer. Normal thunderstorms rolling through and 90° days with 95% humidity.

I am definitely that crazy neighbor that jumped out of bed ran through my yard to get my sprouts under a roof during a thunderstorm. Lightning, wind and rain? Screw it. The girls are safe.

Damn that does sound crazy haha but then again it is known to rain here in the summer when it’s supposed to be 90+ out too lmao! I am definitely with you on that haha but I figured if they’ll live through it they’ll be fine and probably even stronger because of the wind and rain so I let em do their thing now and try to forget about them.

Yeah true. Glad I had them on a deck. Rabbits are eating the sunflowers growing for some coverage. Gonna have to get some fox urine or whichever works

Going strong day 5. Three pretty gals looking good. Can already tell the indica from sativa plants.

Lowering the PH trying to decide either to buy something or try the baking soda trick. Anyone know if baking soda will hurt the girls?
