The shroom filter is an intake filter. Just clamps to your inlet tubing.
Working with your carbon filter would be cheaper but the shroom is a great filter

I was just looking at those but all I found had only a 3 to 4" clamp size. The 6" description is only the filter part.

I would probably get me a half a dozen of the pre sock filters and change it every day. You might get by with every couple days. They’re washable and dry. good luck

I bought extra prefilters to do just that but may have waited too long the first time changing it so it got into the carbon filter
I ordered another filter for now until we can come up with a better alternative

Yep your reading it wrong if Punctuation is correct.

Flange ID 8.5"
Washable filter Round tapered 6" (I’m assuming that’s a average of ID of filter)
