Lights - height from plants, hours per day?

Hi - I]m setting up a closest grow size 24" x 60", 2 10 gallon fabric pots, FF OF, with an single HGL 320 XL kit, I’ve got the seeds germed in peat pots, and I’m ready to move the bags into their home in the closet. How high above the top of the plants should the light be? What ratio of hours between dark/ light per day? Thanks

Try 18" - 22" to start and I personally would go with 18 hrs on and 6 hrs off for now. Are these autos or photos?

That seems a little close considering I burned my flowering girls at 18 in with the 260 xl I think 30-32 inch at 1/3 intensity and see if they start to stretch and see how they react @dbrn32 thoughts?

Wolf were at 28” in veg 18/6 (All LED but one halide it’s at 4’) One 6” exhaust and 1 6” intake on controllers, in flower we never move height were at 8’ With air hoods ( all hps 1000 watt) 12/12 Light cycle with four 6” air hood exhausts into 8” then out the wall vented into 2 10” Louvered screened wall caps…All smooth pipes, air moves through smooth wall piping better then flex pipe then insulated. Only flex pipe we use is on air hood ( insulated ),then out the ceiling. Happy growing!!!:grimacing:
