What is sufficient lighting for 8-13 gallon pots RDWC? How many watts are needed?
Lighting goes by space not by number of plants. What is the area you’re trying to light?
Bobby digital is correct. You want to size your lights according to size of your canopy. Even then will need to know radiometric efficacy of lights you’re using to determine how much power is needed. Using dli method a ppfd average of about 800 umols/s is rocking on ambient co2.
I’m growing in a room and I would like to maximize my grow
Around 600 watts works pretty good for a 4x4 area so 1200 watts would do you good in a 4x8 area, make sure you’re looking at actual watts like HLG uses, not amazon chinese watts where they call a 100 watt actual light a 1000w.
What would happen if I put 2400 W? If I were to use 13 gallon pots does the lighting make a difference? Do I need more water ages if I have bigger pot size?
2400 watts would be a bit overkill (I use 600 watts in a 3x3 tent so I like a bit of overkill) unless you’re talking cheap blurple led lights from amazon, then it wouldn’t be nearly enough. Pot size doesn’t affect light choice.
What lights are you thinking of going with? What’s your budget for lighting?
How would I maximize Yeild
By having everything dialed in perfectly (light, nutes, temp, humidity, co2/fresh air).
How much light is required for 8-13 pots?
Go for about 500 - 600 actual watts per 4x4 area and you’ll do good on lighting.
