Indoor autoflower question about lighting. I have recently upgraded my lighting to HLG 260 QB’s with a dimming option. When using cheap lights I had no problems with spouts and seedlings but now they seam stressed off the git-go. I usually adjusted my light height according to stretching or bunching up and clustering. These sprouts are on second and third leaves and it looks like they are getting too hot. Simple question, how high should I keep this light over my newbies and should I use the dimmer option? They are currently hanging 16-20 inches over the pots. Thanks
I use the 260xl and I dim it to min. for seedlings.
Thank you, how high do you hang it over them?
I start out at about 20 inches and lower if stretch, raise if no stretch.
Perfect… that’s what I thought. Thank you
Okay, two months later and the XL 260’s are working well… I have what appears to be some heat stress (could be dirt/soil issues) and am curious if I should have the lights dimmed some? Most buds look good and are definitely better than the blurple lights were but I would like to know if anyone has dialed in the brightness. I had the dimmer set halfway for the first month and turned it up all the way when flowering began (autoflowers). Currently about 30 inches over canopy. Not sure if they are bleaching or just, “finishing,” but the leaves seem to be turning yellow a few weeks earlier than I expected. Just lookinjg for opinions on what may be, too much light, if there is such a thinhg. Thanks.
