Lighting experiment

I agree with @Hogmaster. Been using the mehzi 600 (2018 version). The results speak for themselves! :joy: First pic is one of the main colas! Total dry weight from 2 plants was just under 16oz.

like dbrn said, u need a point of comparison,
watt for watt is not really fair to the HID, dollar/dollar could work but what all do we factor into that, cost of fixtures or do we add the cost of running to that.?

that being said, i’d go with similar sized LED to cover the same 3x3 area that the 400w HID covers.! (45 wpsf)

the cheapest, great LED lighting is the DIY QB panels.!
i’d assemble 4x QB 132’s run at 60-70 watts each (240-280w total)
this would be 26-31 wpsf, very low but the 4x boards should cover great.!!
i’d use their 4000k boards for germ to jar.!

a true test comparison of HID and LED would be similar par readings,
do a grid measure, like Shane in the Migro vid’s,
set the very center at 1000 and record the 36 readings from a 3x3 area,
average those measurements and set a QB to match the 400w HPS.!

this would be a pain in the ass to get started, but it would be the best comparison of the light sources.!!
