Light Leak from Humidifier

I accidentally left the blue, ultraviolet light on inside my humidifier a couple of nights ago and am concerned that the blue light will make my ladies herm out. They are within their first month of growth and looking nice. Any feedback on the subject would be appreciated. Thank you.

Could you go in there with that light on and read a book? If not, then it wont hurt. Think of the moonlight. Thats not enough light make one herm.

I don’t know whether or not the blue/violet light will cause your plant to herm. Likely not.
On the other hand, if you are growing photo period plants, the humidifier light may interfere with the flowering process.

It never has bothered mine. Even with the green lights on my AC.

Green light will normally be fine…Some growers have green lights so that they can work in their room during the lights off period (even in flower).

Had this happen to me before. Took me a week or so to realize. Put black tape over the indicator

Mine was the red power indicator light. It messed up (revegged) the very top of the cola closest to it. I cut it off, taped the light and continued on

Just to be safe… Turn off the light or if there is no option to turn it off tape it up with black duct tape or electrical tape.

I have little lights on my humidifier by the on off knob, and the power button on my oil filled radiator heater.

Easy to remedy. No reason to take chances.

Look up the video by dr bruce bugbee(sp?) On light pollution its very informative
