Light during end of flowering does it help to put in dark for 24 hours?

Does it help to put plants in 24 hours of dark right before harvest

Never done it but many here do 48.

@Amazon66 Welcome to the best place you can be. Ive even heard of 72 and 84.
I’m doing doin 72 as we speak. I’ll let y’all know how it turns out tomorrow :sunglasses::v::call_me_hand:

I did a 48hr darkness and ice bath. After the first 24hr the buds shrunk by 1/3rd. By the end of the second 24 they had fattened back up but were denser than the start of the darkness. Not sure if it was the ice or the darkness or if it was going to do that anyway.

I’ve heard it works and I’ve heard it’s a waist of time. I’m gonna see if it works first hand. :v::sunglasses::call_me_hand:

When light kicks on, water starts to come up roots into leaves for photosynthesis, 24 hours of dark helps keep leftover nutrients and water from being in buds so weed tastes better. Hopefully that’s the answer you wanted

@Amazon66 the buds seem a lot denser and looks like the trichs increased and extra super sticky :sunglasses::v::call_me_hand:

Sorry I just realized that I misread your question
Yes it is a good idea to do at least 24 hrs of darkness before harvest
I have never done it but a lot of my buddies swear by it
Happy growing
