There’s nothing magic about it. Just dial back the 6 hours when you are ready.
When is up to you. The most important consideration is how much space you have. Keep in mind that cannabis will usually double in size in the first few weeks after you flip. Cannabis is capable of flowering some time between 4 and 7 weeks from seed.

Bear in mind that some strains will double in height during the initial flowering stretch, so plan your grow space accordingly.

If the hours work out I just shorten the light time from 18 to 12.
