My question; when transitioning to flower i switch lights(600w viparspec) to flower mode(of course) and wonder if the lights should be in full spectrum for a period of time? Manufacturer recommends but the heat from the lights makes it difficult to control temps.
I’m not sure if I understand your question. When you switch to flowering you should go full spectrum, including the flower switch. It may increase your temps. You’ll have to increase the airflow in your grow space to accommodate.

Yes you wanna run both switches during both vegg and flower

On my Viparspectra PAR600 I ran with all 3 switches on from start to finish.
