LED 1200 watt light

Just wondering what everyone thinks about Phlizon LED lights? I had one given to me, and half the Veg lights went out so I emailed them and they are sending me a new one and said I could keep the old one. Another question, if I get the old one fixed should or could I use it also. My grow tent is only 4x2x5

You can do much better than blurple panels. That’s my opinion. Sure they’ll grow marijuana, but it takes a lot of them to do it.

You could definitely use both lights. Your light Phlizon 1200 will do fine during Veg. If at the end of this grow you’re happy results then the lights you have will be sufficient in your space. I believe I saw pictures you put up on different thread. Your plants look good. A lot of new growers realize that they need to increase the quality of their lights. If you have time try to read through some of the lighting threads. Good luck and welcome to ILGM forum. There’s a lot of people here that can help make a decision if you choose to upgrade lights
Edit If it’s going to cost you money to have fixed you would be better off investing into a better light

I wouldn’t bother repairing it, just buy a decent light like a Quantum Board.

Thanks guys, I started doing some more reading late last night and yes I’m not going to fix the old light, I will however look into better lighting. I only have a 4x2x5 grow tent, one good thing is I didn’t have to pay for any lights, they were given to me so if will upgrade

If you’re like many you will go down the rabbit hole and get farther into it than you originally intended to. The main thing is you enjoy it. Many elements in growing are important but lights are definitely near top of list. When you’re ready to upgrade you should consider consider DIY. But there are a lot of options. Good Luck. You should consider starting grow journal. It’s the best way to get help with questions and advice.

@Bulldognuts I know what you mean, my replacement light came today and after 2 years they seemed to have upgraded them. Not as burple, more white light. It works great and really brighter than my old one that was going out. My plants are doing good and I ran around a little today and found happy frog soil and Fox farm , tiger bloom nutrients. I’ll be picking those up this weekend. Thanks all for helping me

I’m new to growing also. The first lesson I learned was how important lights are. First grow went well. I was using 2 450w Viparspectra’s. They are similar to your lights. Plants looked great only problem was buds were light and fluffy. That’s why I try to let new growers know that if they want the most for their efforts they should consider upgrading to higher quality lights.

I looked at a Boya quantum board today online and I really like it and it’s affordable, might sell the new light I just got today and buy that one,lol

Not familiar with Boya. Many people on site are are fans of HLG quantum boards. I upgraded on second grow to Budget led lights. Had excellent results. Flowers were nice and tight, very dense. You should also consider whether you intend to stay in 2x4. If you are planning on staying with 2x4 no need in going overboard with lights. I’ll put some pics up of Budget lights. I’ve recently upgraded again with DIY Build.

Something like this would work well in 2x4
Here’s my most recent DIY Light

How handy are you? If exactly half of the light is out, its probably a bad connection or failed driver. Neither would be difficult to repair if you’re capable of troubleshooting. If I had picture of driver label I could likely find a replacement, if need be. But I wouldn’t rule out something silly like broken solder joint either.

Doesn’t cost anything to look.

Was planning on taking it to work tomorrow and check it out and see if I can see what’s wrong with it

Sweet! Let me know what you come up with.

Well if you are capable of doing the repair yourself then do it, I just assumed you would be sending it somewhere you have to pay.

A HLG260 QB would fit your 2x4 tent.

Ok, I’m pretty sure it’s a driver, there are 6 of them so I’m just going go through the process of elimination. First pic is just the Veg switch on and second pic is Veg and Bloom switch on, feel free to comment,

Can’t seem to find the driver online, guess I’ll check with the company. I didn’t see a parts list on their site so I emailed them.

Meanwell doesn’t make a constant current driver at 820ma that I’m aware of, so see what they say. If not I’ll look around for you.
