Leaves are wilting and yellowing, what to do?

A question of a fellow grower:
Of 24 planted seedlings 3 have survived.

Now some of those are either wilting at the lower leaves or yellowing.

-5 125 wt lights 18hrs daily
-1 blue 100 wt light on 24/7
-watered with ph water as needed

  • wind flow nice

What should I be doing?
Please advise.

I would say keep the girls covered and moist… I think the RH may be too low. Cut a 2 liter bottle and place on top. Give that 1 week or 2…

Do not over water them. Water, wait for soil to be dry then water again. You can go by weight as well. Over watering is a huge beginner mistake. Are you feeding them any nutrients? Seedlings do not need nutrients till the sugar leaves have gone. Soil my be too hot for seedlings as well.

Miracle Grow Potting Soil mixed with our Texas Black Soil.
Recently Transplanted from 12oz cup. Started with 24
germinated seeds, transplanted 8 now 3 are still pushing through.

These are each planted in 2 a ltr bottle.
Should I drill holes in the top 2 ltr bottle?
Using high grade PH water to water these.

No nutrients being used yet. Watering about every 3rd day depending on soil dryness.
The room 15’x15’ has a space heater to keep temp mid 70s to 80. The grow area is
shielded by mirrors on both side and reflective foil to the rear about 4’x4’ area. Ceiling
fan on medium for air flow.

Does your miracle grow soil have nutes in it? I know some say not to get the kind that has time released nutes in it.

most miracle grow has time released nutrients in it…as @QtPatooty states
‘‘miracle no’’ some call it.
use a starting mix such as light warrior by fox farms or jiffy seed starting mix…very light soils needed for seedlings, then after 3-4 node’‘sets of true leafs’’ then you can start adding more nutrients…
i would use the miracle gro for flowers or something like that. @the.attache

Without the support ticket, it’s all a guessing game. My guess is the miracle grow. I use it but only after the seedlings have dropped the seed leaves.

But without the support ticket it’s just a shot in the dark.

dome them…to keep the humidity up

Do your plants a big favor…download and read the FREE GROWING BOOK here.

Blunt Truth: not enough light, too far from plants, bad soil choice, too small containers, no nutes.

CRITICAL to have a PH n PPM Meter set. online $20 a set.

I shall dome each of them with a clear 2 ltr bottle.
Should I drill holes in said bottle?
I did submit a ticket but not sure where it is or a number but my questions with picture is above.
Many Thanks

No, just do not screw the cap on. You want to see a little moisture on the inside of the dome

36hrs after I dome them, two look okay but the middle one is turning even more yellow.

I am desperate to help our daughter how has Woman Cancer and no Pharmaceuticals have helped but these have. Praying that Congress makes the Med Usage at least fully legal.

HELP I AM DESPERATE.

I DOMED THESE AS PER THE GROUP SUGGESTED AND

WATERED ONCE THESE 8DAYS, SINCE SOIL HELP THE MOISTER, YET THIS MORNING THE

PLANTS ARE YELLEWER. AS 12/19/2018 10AM

  • 4’X4’ AREA
  • 3 SIDED MIRRORED
  • 2 - 90 WT SPOT LIGHTS 20HRS
  • 2 - 300 WT BRIGHT LIGHTS 20HRS
  • 1 - 100 WT BLUE LIGHT 24HRS
  • 76’ TEMP WITH FAIR WIND FROM CIELING FAN

OUR DAUGHTER IS SUFFERING AND MY POCKET BOOK IS IN PAIN, WE HAVE FOUND BUDDS FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE BUT THIS IS THENGOAL TO GROW HERE AND SAVE.

PLEASE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

THIS IS WHAT THEY LOOKED WHEN I FIRST ASKED FOR ILGM SUPPORT.

First i think the pots should not be transparent, but i think @raustin will be able to help as i am a novice also.

You’ve got a few problems going on here. First, you used Miracle Grow soil which has slow release nutrients in it, so every time you water you’re burning the plants with nutrients.

Second, there isn’t enough light. Move the lights closer, about six inches from the plants, but make sure they don’t burn. Those mirrors aren’t helping, they actually don’t reflect very much light, and your containers are not light proof. Roots don’t like light, so cover the containers with tape or paint them black. Better yet, I recommend you transplant in to some appropriate soil that doesn’t contain nutrients. Any seed starter soil will do.

I’m not sure you can save these plants, your grow space really isn’t set up for growing plants well. Lighting is very important and i’m not sure your lights are adequate for growing cannabis. @dbrn32 wil these lights work?
