Its i fine balance ive learned between over and under watering. My first go to method to check if they need water is the weight test. Once you get used to what they weigh dry and wet you can look at size of pot lift it and know instantly if they need water. I do still stick my finger down side of pot tho. I think thats just OCD tho.
Ok def helps man thank you! Hopefully these girls just had a rough day.
Oldguy has you covered, I generally mist clones a couple times a day, lightly, 24hr light and dome until they root.
Nice high RH, warm and cosy.
For now, I would dome them and only mist them about twice a day instead of watering the soil. They still appear to be establishing roots, so they won’t need a whole lot of water in the soil. It’s definitely a humidity issue, as the soil appears to be moist. I’ve noticed that if I transplant into a slightly bigger pot once they establish some roots, this helps with the acclimation process of going from dome to no-dome.
Ok much appreciated gonna try that today
Ahhh okay it’s all starting to make sense. Thanks for helping connect the dots!
Yoo thank you guys. I’m no expert but it looks like the girls r coming back
@Growyourown @Enlightened420 @Oldguy @Chu666cky And these r my diy domes haha
Same as I use, although, I think I left mine taller, then I misted the inside of the domes, instead of the leaves. I also put them in see through cups, inside a coloured cup, so I could see root action and knew when to transplant.
Looking a lot better!
Wow Those r looking beautiful! I like that idea of the clear solo cups, top of the hat to ya. Thank you for these little, yet great ideas. They can go a long ways.
Also , how far do u have ur grow lights from the plants/young clones? I was told 12” from the plant.
That is really smart. Perfect idea
My lights were 24" 50% power
qb LED for seedlings and clones.
How long, roughly, did you keep ur dome on the girls before you kept them off permanently?
When they didn’t fit in the domes anymore. But I gradually got them use to life without it a little at a time, so it wasn’t such a shock to the system, when I removed it permanently. Everything I have learned, has been on this amazing site, from these amazing people.
P.S I follow heaps of threads, sorry if I take time in replying, tagging someone will get their attention faster
Good vibes, keep it green
This is one of my experimental plants since she’s a bag seed. I went ahead and topped her. But was i supposed to top the lower section as well?
I top/fim every tip I can find, more tip sites, more bud sites.
But I am starting to learn that you can shape a plant,
with tipping techniques.
Here is where I started learning LST/HST.
Lots of great info and training techniques.
Kind of like a bonsai tree in a way. Training is one of my favorite parts of growing.
Tie them up, tie them down, bend them over almost to the breaking point. If pushed past the breaking point tape and honey can help in most cases. Resilient plants photos are.
