Lactobacillus Inoculum

Has anyone ever used this. My aunt raised a lot of house plants and used it. Can’t say why I just remember her making it. We didn’t really do house plants so had no use for it. They say it is good for outdoor plants too but if you take good care of your soil I wouldn’t see the benefit.
My aunt raised African violates and 4 leaf clover :shamrock:. She had what seemed like hundreds of them.

I did just make some pit the first dose of the homemade stuff on plants yesterday’s watering. Lol. So hopefully I open the doors up to some plants still alive. Took a few days of it fermenting in temps of 78 to 80 at all times. I did 3 cups of milk and a bit over a quarter cup of rice wash water. It sat for 6 days I believe after 2nd or 3rd it was seperate I let it set til it had the sour smell like stated that means it’s fermenting and at the point to use. Strain the liquid from the curds I got 2.5 cups of lactate back from what I did. I added 2 tbsp of unsulphered molasses to the mix and shook up. That amount of molasses should feed the microbes for atleast 2 months or so if u see bubbles forming uptop on the solution it means it’s running out of food and more molasses is needed to feed the microbes pice every 3 days from day 1 to finished product

Aaaah go figure. Pics r backwards. Last pic is day 1 next 2 pics r day 4 last pic of brown is day 7 after strained and mixed with molasses. It’s not the best smell but not the worst lol.

I make a potassium and phosphorus fertilizer like that .i get 5-6 bananas i cut up the whole banana into smaller pieces then i weigh it and put it into a bowl then i measure out the same weight in brown sugar and i also put two tablespoons of molasses in the bowl i mix everything together until it starts to become like a liquid i used a clean big jar and i put the mixture in the jar i put paper towel over the top of the jar and i put a rubber band around the top to hold the paper towel on ,the paper towel allows it to breath and to keep the good bacteria in the jar and keeps the bad bacteria out once it has been like that for a week or two you strain the mix into a cheese cloth and you squeeze all the liquid out place it back into a jar keep in the fridge until needed and u use two tablespoons to five ltrs

I use a product from Botanicare Hydroguard contains Bacillus amyloliquefaciens , a natural bacterial root inoculant and water treatment that helps suppress and resist damping off diseases in soil and hydroponic gardens to create a healthy, disease-free environment.

It will work if used properly and as intended. Pretty big in Korean Natural Farming methods, but definitely not limited to this.

Great for powdery mildew but both require anaerobic conditions. I use a lactobacilis bokashi process and bury it at the bottom of a hole to be planted over or mainly to compost thermophilicly after. Over watering seem to be the cause of the anaerobic conditions mostly in my experience. If there’s a good balance of the right organisms (micro and macro) and your not over watering you should have plenty of air in The soil for it to be unnecessary
