Jake’s first grow. AmH Auto

That’s a result @Jake3. I made the same mistake with buying junk as have most of us at some point. Sounds like you’re all over it now though. Be good to see the new growth coming through shortly :sunglasses:

Glad you found the culprit because I think your numbers are/were good.
Get an aphera 20 for a PH pen, cheaper then a blue labs and just as good.

A tds pen can be cheap but not a PH pen in my opinion.

Get the run off PH to where you want it and make sure your numbers are still good tds wise, and your feeding cal mag as well, then work on those bugs!

Report back. Sorry it took me a bit

This is similar to what I use. No powders to mix up and easy to use. Last a long time too

While I wait to see improvement from Wendy, I figured I’d check on her buds. She has 12 main branches total and 11 of them have buds that the pistils are starting to turn. The 12th looks so under developed compared to the rest. It also has the least amount of mite damage so that’s strange. Trichome development is coming along well as the little bugs are starting to really frost up and a lot of the trichs are already starting to turn milky. Most of the sugar leaves are already 1/2 amber. I did notice that since watering To runoff yesterday with water pH’d to 5.6 and getting runoff of 7.2 (runoff was coming out 8.5 prior) and overnight she’s starting to add a little bit of weight back on. Hopefully she realizes that her dieting days are over and it’s time to get hefty ASAP!

under developed buds are in the branch front and center of this last picture

Hay man I was having similar problems with like the yellow spots and s*** on leaves and come to find out I was under feeding my pH is low I got my new meter so I figured that out and got that straight but she’s right back to being good again soon as I got the pH back up and I fed her a little heavier she came right back

Been a week since my last update. Wendy has had a tough time with these damn spider mites. I think my yield will be about 1/2 of what I was hoping for. Luckily her buds are super dense and sticky. I’ve been flushing her pretty hard since the fox farms ocean forest soil still had a lot left in it. She’s down to 994ppm as of this afternoon. I couldn’t get any clear pictures of her trichomes with these shakes hands. (Quitting smoking my marbs this week) but her pistils are almost all brown now. She got a haircut today too! All her fan leaves came off so her lower buds could get a little more light. She has been and will only get pH’d water for the rest of her life which ends this Sunday morning at approximately 6am. On Friday night she will be put into complete darkness till Sunday morning. This will also unfortunately be the end of my growing season.

Woke up at 4am today and prepped for harvest of Wendy. Cut each of her 12 main branches from the main stalk, washed them individually then removed the remainder of the fan leaves that were accessible without digging my snips into the buds. Then shook them off and hung them up for drying. I’m going to dry trim this round and see if I can extend the drying time.

The buds on Wendy are super dense compared to My Precious. The differences in growing was Wendy started with lights at 100% but as a seedling it was hidden under fan leaves of other plants. She was in oven forest soil her entire life. I ran the same fox farms trio for nutes but I increased dosages quite a bit more than I was previously and she was in a 3 gallon plastic pot instead of my 5 gallon air pots.

I got a final dry weight on My Precious as well. In total she was 52 grams. Once I finished a 2.5 week initial cure I began to really share with friends. Everyone loves her flavor and aromas. Unfortunately everyone also agrees that her potency is a little low but I’ll take that and be happy because it was my first plant ever.

A Bluelab PH pen and TDS meter will be my next purchase. I’m not convinced my cheap amazon pen is t the culprit for my grow as well…
