Jacks 321 flushing

Is it necessary to flush when using Jacks 321?

Jacks isn’t as bad as some other brands. Flush only if you experience a salt buildup. Common signs of a salt buildup can include high runoff PPM or the inability to raise a low runoff pH.

In this interview Dr. Bugbee addresses harvest flushing, and much more.

What are you growing in?

10gal fabric pot bottom1/3 ffof upper 2/3 ffhf. Just fertilized last night ph in 6.5 out 6.2 ppm in 1350 2340 out. Probably should have waited on the fert but too late now! No signs of newt burn yet. Forgot to mention that i flipped to 12 on 12 off a week ago, Just starting to see some pistils.

See above post

I run Jacks. Have done soil and coco both.
In soil if I saw the beginning of nute burn I would just use plain water for for a time or two and then feed again next watering… Never did a real flush. Just plain water on occasion is all I did.
I use plain water in my coco once a week to keep the buildup away. Never seen a problem doing that.

Yeah next run for watering I’d just stick with some calmag water PhD give it a good slow soak down soak it slow as to make sure all the soil is wet and get the runoff numbers from that watering. If the ppm is under or close to the 1000ppm range then is an ok time to start feeding good luck
