Appreciate the input. I think I’ll give them a shot, when I get to the autos.

Grow Dots trimmed up - 130.3 grams. No Dots next. Back in a bit to report final weight.

Bud rot! Did not think it possible but I guess No Dots was dense enough that it happened. Yikes.

So 16 grams lost to mold. Not running the risk, into the bin it goes. I did go ahead and weigh it just to know.

The remainder?

So the answer is 102 grams of No Dots.

130 grams of Grow Dots.

Pretty close. :v::100:

Uggg im so sorry to hear that you had mold… question… does the mold start on the inside or outside. This is my 1st grow outside, so id love to know what to watch out for. Thank you :blush:

Mold starts from outside the plants. Too much moisture, not enough air. Other diseases can start within the stems or at the roots. Those are a little harder to control.

@Borderryan22 is right, the mold was a contaminant that made its way inside the bud. Although the mold was only visible from inside the bud once I cut it down to size - it grew internally where the moisture was too high. Came in from outside but grew inside. Which isn’t helpful at all - I suggest doing a bud wash before trimming if you’re worried about it and probably breaking down large colas into smaller pieces for the dry.

I have a stupid climate, usually I have to dry a whole plant to get it to dry slowly enough to have a good dry time. But this is a good example of why a slow dry isn’t always king.

Thank you, hoping i can get thru this outside grow without it :pray: weather has been very hot & humid this summer, i can only imagine what the fall might be like. Fingers crossed

My 1st 2nd harvest i hung my whole plants to get them to 10 days… this harvest branches snapped at 7 days, still havent had time to trim it all yet. So i have the whole plants in a tub & lift the lid during the day. So far staying around the 62% area. Trimming is hard by yourself lol. Gonna take me all week lol
