I like growing em until they are about 3 feet tall then pinch the center out. The side branches will catch up and the top will divide. Then tie down the side branches and the internodes grow upwards. Doing this means 1 plant 4 feet tall can easily be 6 feet or more wide. Each internode will produce 2 new branches. At this point you may decide that you only want 1 branch per internode? Trim thenother one off. If you plant to grow 6 or more plants, try variations of techniques to see what works best for your space.

@Gerant knowing how yours got last year you might consider turning your grow area into a giant SCROG.
You could make a ceiling of netting maybe like a foot below the top of your fence and once the plants get up there start bending and weaving them in and out to create your screen and you’ll just wind up with a carpet of colas

High, cool. I think I will try something like that. I did have a net last year but didn’t weave it. I did end up with a lot of tips though. Lol
