Is this what I think?

Is this a banana?

Not sure what could cause it as I have 2 other plants that are fine. Maybe heat?

Looks like it… how close are you to harvest?

Three total plants in the room. One can go whenever, this and the other probably 2-3 weeks.

It seems to only be on that one branch. Should I just cut the whole branch and monitor the rest of the plant?

Yes. I would cut the branch cut the buds off and put in a zip lock bag in the freezer… throw it in the trim pile and save it for processing later.

Thanks! Can heat cause this? It seems to be foxtailing as well. I’ve since raised the lights.

Any kind of stress, especially heat, can cause a plant to hermie. Been fighting it myself. But yes, raise or dim your lights to control foxtailing… heres one of mine doing it…

I’m talking to my wife now about getting some. I showed her a video and she said I better have a big fxxxin tray or be able to clean the table before the stray dust sticks

Based on my photo, about how long before they pollinate my other plants? I just looked and there’s bananas all over so I need to cut the whole thing but I wanted to set up my dry tent first.

Do I still have a day or so you think?

Any stress can cause it, but it seems most people I’ve chatted with who have had problems with herming plants blame light leaks or interruptions.

My last run a PH crash caused it on a few and last but not least is genetics. Some strains just seem to have more problems with herms than others.

I chop em soon as I see them to prevent pollination of the other plants nearby.

Good luck

Do you think I’m safe if I wait until tomorrow to chop?

Are the bananas swollen or just appearing?

@ChittyChittyBangin

I really only noticed them a couple of days ago.

U should be good as long as thry dont look ready to pop

If they fixing to pop, I’m fixing to chop.

Unless

No other plants are nearby then I might get stoned and sit down an pluck em off everyday till my bud was ready.

Good luck
