Are they wrapped around hoses?
I see some brown but not really sure what is going on there.
Maybe lift the yellow lid for a better look?
Also, is there any kind of pump on that end that the roots could possibly be getting sucked into?

@GoodGuy I never lift from the net pot but use the yellow lid (I have the same totes haha).
@Myfriendis410, I don’t know how high I can lift the lid. My SCROG net is in the way. I put it in this weekend and really don’t know how I’m going to do stuff with it yet. I’ll take some pics tonight and get the wife to help me lift.
I’m running 2 SCROG’s as well but mounted them to the lids for that very reason lol
Here’s my nightmare:
Mine are adjustable. When I do soil or media grows I have a base unit that I can tie wrap to a cloth pot, slide the SCROG screen into the base and I can lock it at any height with screws. Works great. I have 3 to fit my space but this last grow I only did the two outside ones.

@Myfriendis410, @TDubWilly I did a partial (about half) water change last night and took a pic of the roots with the top off. It didn’t seem to bring down the PPM very much, but that may be because of the Cal-Mag.
Roots look good. Looks like lots of agitation too.
@Bogleg gave me a good tip: let me set this up. Plants consume water and nutes in your hydro setup. Say you take data on your nutes on Monday at 0800 and it reads full and 600 ppm. Let it go for some period of time; 24 hours say. Take your TDS numbers again and it reads 550 and needs 2 gallons. Top off and add nutes to bring back to your 600 ppm. The data tells you that the plants are consuming about the amount you have set in your setup.
Scenario 2 after taking numbers on Monday morning, waiting 24 hours and you get: 2 gallons and 850 ppm. That tells you the plants are consuming more water than nutes and to reduce the solids in your solution.
Scenario 3: the ppm’s are 400 and 2 gallons. Up your nutrient load and recheck until you are in balance. You will always be in a “catch up” mode but this at least gives me a logical means to add or subtract liquid or solids.
@Myfriendis410, I’ve got a 2x4" under each plant with a commercial 1750 GPH 110L/min 12 Outlet with the extras closed. I have 1 under each plant and 1 in the res.
I have a 950 that’s servicing 3 totes…
Nice light build. I also used sheet aluminum for mounting the QB boards and really like how it turned out.
Your new growth looks better. May be growing through the problem. Mine did. I definitely think you had a microbe infection. Might want to open up the net pot by cutting off some of the bottom leaves to allow air to pass and light to get in to avoid mold problems. Water should be below the netcups.
Today’s pics. pH was 6.0 this morning. I dropped a little ph Down to drop it to 5.8.
Water temp was 63.
I would trim off the necrotic dying leaves they are covering over other healthy leaves that could be feeding the plant.
@WickedAle, Thanks, I’m going to do a bit of trimming this weekend. I’m supposed to flip to flower this weekend also. Would you wait a week since I’m trimming?
You have QB’s correct? I’d trim back the necrotic leaves and start tying down branches to your net until it’s full, then flip. You have some smaller plants that need to catch up. I’d get those to the net before flipping. How do you swap out your nutes? If you have a pumping system you can do a full SCROG.
@WickedAle, They don’t seem to be growing very tall. How do you tie back? They are stacked super tight.
The light is intense so the node length is short. I need to raise the height of the light over 24 inches to get the plant to stretch out a bit. With SCROG you bend the stem and then tie it to the net. Check out @Grandaddy013 post to see how it’s done!
