Most my other plants are farther behind but I want an idea
What size area?
Around 4x4
Some 5x5
62.5 wsqft in 4x4 and 40 wsqft in 5x5 I would think would be sufficient! Let’s ask some HID user’s, @Oldguy @peachfuzz can either of you help a fellow grower out here?
Thanks for the tag brother. @Holmes.
Ideally a fresh 1000 watter will cover a 4x5 area. Or 20 sq ft. @ 50 w /sq ft.
It would work for a 5x5 but the intensity will fall off a bit around the outer edges.
But still very doable.
I use 600 watt hps for a 4x5 scrogg table with great results…
Thanks guys
Thanks and I know this is dependent on a lot of factors but what should the yield be for a grand daddy purp
I hope with the 1000 watt it’s a bit more thanks
Your hood size can make a difference.
Oh okay we’ll check out my grow journal I’ll be documenting every step of the way
Hi @Grandaddy013 what does hood size play? Thinking i might want a bigger one but i didnt know they exist?
The hood size can make a difference in the light’s footprint. Mine are 36 x 36

I have 2 of these. Going to get another one.
They’re 30 x 40 in.
Each one Easily covers a 4 ft x 5 ft area.
Exact same hoods that I use and I only run 600’s with a socket extension to center the bulb…
I love them…
@Oldguy
I would recommend that you get your air pumps higher than the water level…
If you loose power , you run the risk of them siphoning out all of the water in the system…
