Is this a good LED?

I’m new to led lights and don’t know much about them. A friend recomend sunraise 1000w I didn’t want to buy it at first because i wanted to save for an hlg but ended up getting the sunraise anyway when i saw it on sale for $80. I’m hoping some of you LED guys can tell me what you think and if it was worth what i spent. Here is the link so you can check it out. Amazon.com

It seems like a decent light but I’m not sure what determines the quality. I know the actual power usage is 165w and it supposedly has a high PAR output. Any opinions or input is appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Meh… it will grow for ya I suppose. If you can add another $125-50 you could get so much better, cooler running, longer lasting light and it’s a simple DIY. Looks something like this.

Just sharing my opinion with you. To me priority is light first, PH and so forth.

I looked through your build and its pretty cool. I just worry about building it myself because I’m very accident prone lol. I’m sure I’d find a way to mess something up. So how do you determine what makes a good led?

I’ve have 2 of the sunrise 1000 watt lights and got good results before i got my qb lights

How much coverage did you get from each?

I used 3 of them in a 4x4 area 5 autos under them and I think I did ok for first time 2-3 dry oz a plant

Light is your biggest investment. It’s the difference maker in grows but I’ve only now finished my first.

You want to have about 50 actual watts per square foot of grow space

My understanding is that’s not the case for led lights as there are many more variables involved.

Light intensity is mostly what you go by. I’m a noob but I researched enough to know getting a quality light is where it’s at.

Right now I’m using a 600w hps but 1) its too small for my tent and 2) it still gets way to hot with an air cooled hood. I bought that sunraise just because i got a good deal on it. In the mean time ill use both together but id like to go full led as soon as i get the funds

You want to go hlg quantum boards the. A buddy of mine way more experienced cannot get over the led lights giving off little to no heat compared to older lights also less power usage.
