This will be my 3rd grow but its been 10yrs since my last. I never did an outdoor grow .i was wondering if its to late to start in july in New York. Using afghan auto flowering
You should be able to sneak an auto grow in if you get things rolling
It’s going to be close but should have enough sunlight to finish i would hurry up tho
Thanks… they just cracked this morning i hope its not late… just didn’t want to wait till next season. Guess ill save 3 for indoors
Should get 1 in as someone stated if its an auto. Welcome to the growmunity!
Thanks… should i let it grow 3wks inside before taking her for the first date…lol
Welcome to the community , Go for it I do recommend autos this late in the season. Been thinking about putting out a couple myself. (J H autos ) If you choose photos, they will make what they make start flowering probably second week in august.
Id honestly try to start outside so they can acclimate to the sun quicker.
Interesting i like that advice, i feel like straight outdoors would beat wouldn’t like to shock the with two different light source or schedule. And besides like i said its been 10yrs between my grow and my indoor equipment is just as old. Had a 5x7x7 room with hydro farm units
Thank you guys for thank advice and quick response because im short on time . I appreciate yous
You’ll be fine as long as you don’t have cold or wet early fall conditions. Your plants probably won’t be as large as they would starting a month or two ago, but they should finish up around same time as everyone elses or within a couple weeks after.
I really hope so vut its bee heavy rains here NY dor 2wks straight
That stuff can ruin a crop anywhere. It jyst seems to happen more frequently the further north you get.
Cannabis will grow in a vegetative state until it’s sexually mature no matter the amount of light time is. For most plants this is about a month or so. From there if days are short enough will begin transitioning to flower. For outdoor plants in Northern hemisphere this usually sometime in August. Days begin getting shorter after the summer solstice but it takes a month or so before days are actually short enough for plants to identify this is happening, then a couple more weeks as plants transition and you’ll actually see flowers starting to form. Starting your plants now will basically follow the same schedule unless they want to take a little longer to mature. Even so ot wouldn’t be a lot longer.
So guys the seedlings are moving along …now my questions is should i pot the pot or put in ground next to my garden…i have no clue of the soil ph… its a mix fox farm happyfrog, lucky dog and my on composed of leaves, grass clippings along with fruits and veggies…
I don’t see any reason to put in ground this late in the year unless you feel it’s something you need to do.
That was my original question…about time…like i said this my first outdoors and i now time is limited and the carzy thing is its just a hobby for me i dont partake…my first grow i read so much that i think i made my own strain by collecting pollen from a Hawaiian and fed it to a northern light and got those seed in and apparently i gave out the best xmas gifts ever…lol
Ok so i remember my first indoor grow by 3wks the plants were about 6in tall now these auto flowering im doing for the first time i dont know why they’re dwarf
The plant looks fine. Just barley broke ground a few days ago I’m betting. Give her time and she will grow.
Planting straight into the ground or choosing to use a pot/grow bag is all preference at this point. A lot of growers choose to go into the ground early in the season so the plant can obtain the largest root base possible. Also putting them into the ground alittle early will help with any random freezes the first part of June.
Due to the fact you are alittle late into the season and have passed the early frosts than a pot/grow bag should be pretty efficient for you.
Thanks…i guess im just worried about time line and remembering how bigger my
indoor grow was at 3wks compared to these
Your indoor was hydro though, right?
