Is it true that SSH likes a metal highlight as well as a fluorescent when it's growing?

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

Question regarding the SSH is it true that it likes a metal highlight as well as a fluorescent when it’s growing? Even the first 2 weeks in bloom?

A metal halide throws out a lot of light in the blue spectrum, this is good for vegging plants and help to keep them short and compact. Keeping the metal on while the plant is switched to flowering cycle can help to limit the amount of stretching the plant will do. After the 2 week transition period you can switch to hps lighting for the remainder of the flowering cycle. If possible a combination of metal halide and hps will produce the best yield. Flourescent lights are best used for seedlings ,cuttings and vegetative growth.
