I could use all the help I can get because this is my first grow. Does everything look good so far or what should I do differently? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Looks good. But start watering in a ring halfway between wall of pot and center. There are watering issues here I won’t try to explain from being argued in the past. Just trust me, stop center watering, water in a ring or to run off. Center watering can also cause damping off.

I feel u. Watering away from the stalk will let the water soak the soil further away from the plant and therefore make the roots stretch out towards that wetness to get what it wants. It is a good thing to do for a little while to get the roots stretching. As water soaks down the soil it spreads anyways so by the time it hits half way down the pot pretty much everything is wet anyways. Looks good
