Is 7 gallons too much?

Im too small a grower, i use 2 bags a year!

I only use 6 - 10 bags per year. I was hoping that maybe you knew some other growers that might share the shipping on a pallet. I keep an extremely low profile and don’t any growers in my state much less my town.

Its just for my wife and myself. Ive hit on a technic that works for me and am able to produce 6 1/2 oz plus each grow, if i can keep that up of slightly better im set. 2 grows a year fills my needs. Getting it dialed in and working on better quality. Mind you the last grow is still 1 hit shit.

My wife does not use canabis. I grow many times more than I can use but I have a friend that lives about 300 miles from here. I give him my excess which in turn gives to a buddy of his that has cerebral palsy. I have cut my growing back to just a few plants instead of six at a time to reduce my excess to something manageable.

I would love to have a local group of growers that I could chat with and share ideas. I am just too concerned about it getting out for me meet any local growers. It is “legal” here but there is still a huge stigma to using or growing. Being retired it should not matter to me, but old habits die hard.

Right. It felt like I was putting more than 7gal in that fabric pot. I filled up a 2gal pot with soil 3x before transplanting her. Then even out the top of the transplant soil like. Hope I’m making sense. I wonder what is the average amount of harvest of gorilla glue or Durban Poison in 7 gal pot

Depends on technic, scrog, Lst,HST ect. ect. And also the strain and a crap load of other things. Ive had 1 plant go 12 ozs but last two 6 1/2 ozs.

I’m trying to figure if larger pots are better for growing autos. I recently grew an Amnesia Haze in 5 gal fabric pot. Total weight 110g which will probably end up with an oz from that plant alone. I also was trying to microgrow some plants. Find out what the yield would be. Growing is such good therapy for me.

There are so many factors that affect yields. The best way to find out would be to grow two, side by side. One in one size and the other in a different size.

One run would not be definitive but over several runs you will determine if the larger pot yields more or about the same. Someone with a different setup or technique may have different results.

So far, I have only grown photo-period plants. I plan to try a couple of autos soon. I will grow them in the same 10 gallon fabric pots that I grow photos in.

Perhaps @MattyBear or @AfgVet can remember who some of the experienced auto growers are and they could weight in. I know that @repins12 is a great auto grower and breeder.

If you want more yeald search site on LST, SUPPERCROPPING and HST technics. Scrog as well. I dont think these technics can be done to autos maybe scrog for sure you can.

Might need a string trimmer to thin them out a bit.

Its a personal preference thing i believe there are many people who grow in 7 gallon fabric pots your plant will get a big root system going and you find ur yields will be bigger but dont forget it is harder to water a bigger pot ,some people water from the top and bottom of the pot

Get tge Rocket Fuel dirt , Or Caost of Maine Platinum dirt or Dakine420 dirt but i am a big fan of pro mix with roots organic !
