Interesting accident Seed question

The grow information:
3 grow, first attemp at manifold/mainline thing
ILGM White widow fem
Bag seed Purple Punch fem

Indoor
MarsHydro TSW 2000 light 14” above canopy
4x5x6.5 tent
25% coco peat
75% happy frog soil
3 gallon fabric pots lifted up for air flow
6” alpine fan set at 3 24/7
12” fan on a humidifier filter
4” intake with diffuser under plants for air flow
Intake has a pollen/allergen furnace filter
18/6 lights veg
12/12 lights bloom
Germ through veg 8 weeks (attempted main lining manifold stress training)
Current 11 weeks bloom
KIND nutes (Grow, Base, Cal-Mag, Liquid Karma )
Liquid KoolBloom flowering nutes (started at week 2 of flower)
All nutes according to ml/gal on label

The weird accident…
Started 2 White Widow and 2 Purple Punch
Had one PP die at first set of leaves, other three did their thing.

At week 4 ish of flowering, the other PP started growing taller. Because of my dumb 8-5 job I’ve been bad at watching for signs and the PP Hermed on me… but I didn’t catch it in time and I saw white and off white powder all over the leaves below pollen sacks that burst in the tent. I pulled the jerk out and was left with just the two WW’s. Hoping it would be a bad genetic match, nope. The Hermed PP pollinated the WW, just one though. I have only found one seed in a top bud of the WW.

Did I just accidentally get a WW/PP seed, will it grow? How do I make sure the seed/s are good or keep them good, or make sure the plant makes good seeds??? I have so many questions now.

Manifold attempt

Purple Punch that hermied on me

Current at 11 weeks bloom

Humidity 48-56 norther state in the winter (new challenge, or PIA)

If you let it go long enough that seed is mature it should grow. Good chance it will also be a hermaphrodite.

Yep, hermies make more hermies.

So then the only thing these seed would be good for is filling the extra space in my trash bin? @dbrn32 @Hellraiser @AfgVet @Mefis

@dbrn32 covered it! Up to you if you want to grow them out

The only thing that I can add is that it is likely that all of the plants were pollinated.
You might just as well grow them to completion because the damage is done.
You can either clean the seeds out and smoke/vape it any way or make edibles.
It is unfortunate but not a complete loss.

They are taking longer for the trichomes to get opaque and amber, at 12 weeks flower tomorrow, but I still have 30-40% clear trichomes. I like to harvest at 20% amber, so I can tell energy is not going to the flowering as much. Some of the top buds are getting some amber ones on the sugar leaves at least. I guess I’ll just have to smoke it all and see if it’s any good. :joy:

You can still grow them if you want. Just be prepared to potentially have some seeds.

I ended up with a lot of seeds. Smokes fine just a pain to clean. I did let the seeds to what I thought was mature. Growing from the seeds now.

So the seeds from my accident are about three weeks into flowering. The leaves are a little longer and thinner than the white widow strain and have a grape bubblegum smell. Grew taller and faster than the white widow. Larger space between the nodes. No ‘nanners yet!! I did a poor job in timing the flip and trimming. Please excuse me for that. :joy:

Left to right: close up photos are of the unknown strain.
Unknown strain from the seeds that came from the accident. (Purple punch hermie pollinating the ILGM white widow)
