Indoor lighting regiment

A customer has a question or concerns and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

i am growing indoors, what light regiment should i use? how long with light on verses light off and when should i change it to start the flowering posses ?

We would love to have you in the forum! Light cycles can be 24 hours on, or 20/4 18/6 16/8. To start flowering you need consecutive days of 12/12!

@ILGM.Zoe those times from @VelcroThumb are correct. If its an autoflower variety the times aren’t applicable, they will flower on their own at anytime.

A photoperiod plant (not autoflower seeds) needs 12 hour nights with NO light at all. You may have to seal your grow chamber edges with black felt and construct some black painted baffles for air vents, but it really has to be pitch black in there. And no opening it during that 12 hours.

and 12 hours for darkness must continue daily for the whole flowering period until harvest not only to initiate flowering.
