Dropped (2) BBA’s, (1) Tangerine Kush, and (1) Grand Daddy Purple last Friday. The GDP popped immediately. The two BBA’s are starting to pop. The TK is being stubborn. Transferred the GDP to a small pot today with FFHF and put a dome over it. It’s in my tent along with some sprouting poblano’s. Going to give the BBA’s another day or so before they go into pots. We’ll see what happens with the TK.
I want to keep one of the BBA’s for me and gift the others to a good friend that just moved to a beautiful farm and has never grown before. Going to help them along with an outdoor grow while I keep mine in the tent. I’ll post specs on that later.
Although I am in a non-friendly 420 state, I’ve been itching to start another grow since my harvest of WWA’s last fall. Just seeing the beans pop in 6.5 water has got me excited all over again!!
Woo Hoo! @GetbackJoJo. Setting to follow…and good for you gifting those seeds. It will be interesting to see how your indoor BBA compares to the outdoor one you are tutoring on.
My GDP has broken ground! Gave up on the other (3). Dropped a Critical Mass, (2) BBA’s, and another Tangerine Kush into water this evening. Put the others that weren’t doing anything into some soil “just in case”.
The GDP continues to do its thing. The 2nd attempt at (2) BBA’s has been successful as well as the Critical Mass. All three have popped. Not sure what the issue is with the Mango Kush. Going to put it in a paper towel tonight to see if that gets it done.
Well the Mango Kush has done nothing. One of the BBA’s I had semi-given up on and just stuck in a peat pellet, I pushed some of the peat off the top earlier, and lo and behold, there was a tiny sprout. I’ve readjusted the lighting and moved everything up a little closer as the GDP was stretching a little.
So here’s a quick recap: started (2) Mango Kush neither popped. Started (1) Strawberry Kush it popped and is in FFHF in a 4" pot. Started (2) BBA’s, when I thought neither popped I started (2) more and put the first ones into peat pots. (1) of the 2nd pair popped and is in FFHF in a 4" pot. The other I put into a peat pellet. You never know. Started (1) Critical Mass, it popped and is in FFHF in a 4" pot. Pictures to follow soon.
Bummer on the Mango Kush and BBA. Good thing you had back ups.
The Strawberry Kush broke ground overnight!! I’ve got (3) viable plants growing now.
So here’s the set-up info:
Currently have (1) GDP, (1) SK, (1) BBA, (1) CM, and (2) AK-47’s that have sprouted. I’m going to keep one or two and gift the others. Currently all
sprouts are in 4" plastic pots in FFHF soil. I’ve been misting with 6.5 pH rainwater. The GDP is about a week ahead of the others. All are in a 3X3X6 tent with (1) Mars Hydro Reflector 192 (415W true) at 30" above. I’m battling heat already here going with an 18/6 schedule. Tent temps range from 72-89. RH has been fairly steady around 45. I have (1) exhaust fan that I’ve moved to an intake and will add a new exhaust fan as soon as I can get it this coming week.
If I can’t get the heat under control, I may move mine outside.

Switching the fan to be an intake seems to have helped considerably! Current temp is 81 and RH is 41.
I’m running my light at night when it’s a little cooler in the garage as well. We have forecasted highs of 90 for the next week. It may get a little warm for a few hours, but once the sun drops, it definitely cools off quickly.
Thanks for tagging me in. Do you mist the air at all? A pan of water can also help raise your RH.
Just a thought, not knowing how your stash looks, gift that auto to the friend so he/she can observe the accelerated growth pattern. This will help with understanding the different stages quicker.
Like when the calyx begin to swell around the pistil like my Blueberry auto has started doing finally…

About to put up a second greenhouse to be used as a utility area for my mower and some other lawn tools. It gets a bit more shade than my current greenhouse so I may move all my plant stuff to the new one and use the old one as the mower “shed”.

So I gifted the GDP, the SK, and an AK-47 today. My friends were so happy!! I told them to text any time with questions orrrrrrrrr, they can come to this site and get more knowledge than I will ever be able to give.
I still have an AK, a Critical Mass, and a BBA I started after I knocked the one over that I had started before. I may start a couple more autos because I’m going to be running low on herb before my photos are ready.
