Note to self… Don’t read SL comments until parked got me laughing so hard I’m swerving like I’m drunk
Karma said I’ll see your smart ass comment and raise you some bud rot… Game on lol
The beast known as bud rot has started…luckily, I checked the glands on the clones and they are ready.
Cut the infectes tops off that also. Don’t know why the pic didn’t take, but you get the point.
I had a handful of cuts that I discarded.
Berry Pie is getting cut tomorrow also.
I chop early morning before the sun rises.
I hang them in the drying boxes (Uhaul Grand wardrobe boxes with the metal arm across the top. ) and let them hang until they are dry. I have 4 boxes I use,and I just have to make sure I tag them properly. (Oh, and I also take a box cutter and cut holes at the bottom of the boxes for ventilation.)
On average I find that clones finish outdoors faster than the seedlings. I don’t mind the staggering,it allows only a few drying at a time.
Trim jail, here I come!
@krismwright I know you just chopped PBS. I have to run Super Yahmba next year!
“And then there were only 6…”
I went ahead and chopped PP, BP, and Caffeine.
After deliberation-I will take the hit for the bud rot. I went over notes, and realized my irrigation practice me be suspect. I went and changed the days from EVERY to 3x’s a week.
I also noticed a clone I purchased (NS) may have been sensitive to the moisture, and developed PM. Once again, I felt like I was creating too much moisture in the environment. I have sprayed with a sulfur-based product-since I still have a few weeks left for the remainders. Initially I was headed outdoors with a hatchet-but I saw this problem as an opportunity to learn something new. Went to the local nursery and got this-
I am still trying to dial-in the perfect schedule for living soil. Of course I went way to the extreme-now I can dial it back some.
Keep on truckin!
Even with the little bit of Bud rot the flowers looked amazing bro:100:
They look good despite a few bumps in the road…and I hear ya on tastes and smells…I too have grown some that have a better taste and smell but not so much of a high yield-er! Ive grown a Chocolate Kush last batch (about 3 months ago) funny thing is I haven’t even tried it yet Its still in cure mode…In fact I forgot about it until now… @Nip Ive grown and have Banana Kush…its a unique looking and smelling plant! It actually does smell like Bananas…not fresh Bananas though almost like Banana bread straight outta the oven…Try it! Ill try to post some pics and the finished product of it…This years at least…Last years got decimated by caters and I threw it out!!!
How great of a feeling is that to remember you had some primo stash hidden away?! Ahhh
Update- The PM seems to be under control. I will spray again in a few days, but at least the situation didn’t worsen. I saw some Bud rot on SD-but I will clip it out tomorrow.
Keeping it moving…The first three are still drying, fyi.
Because of the PM I have cut down feeding anything but plain water.
From my understanding the High is a little different than OG Kush I grew some OG and it planted me in the chair and Fridge and it’s a Hardy Plant that I can Grow here
I lost all but 2 top colas from my plant’s , PM got me good this year and I’m thinking mabey Blight or a Fungus Hell of a Heatwave and Humidity didn’t help, I tried several home remedies and Baking Soda and water killed it but I had to spray several times I’m going to use pure crop 1 next year I can’t stand loseing weed especially how hard i worked growing it toteing water is Hell still going to get good she’s still Terping but so close
@Nip I hear ya, I hate losing weed too. Especially since I only grow once per year.
@AL_GREEN Where did you get your banana ? I’m gonna take a break from clones for now. Gonna buy the best Banana seed recommended.
@krismwright My girl was asking about your setup the other day! You know some women will remind you of the other man’s stuff looking better than yours
I’m just Grateful I’m getting some Bud’s the Gelato and Tropicana Cookies smells like fruit and candy , I almost gave up plant’s were covered in white powerdy mildew and the tops were baked crisp and burnt, but were fighters not quiters
@Nip Those sound yummy! When it’s all said and done I will follow you for a smoke report.
@Slug_Life I got my Banana from ILGM…Its an Auto Banana though…I’m not sure if they have Banana in a Photo? I got in on it when it was 10 for 10…So Ive got alot of Banana… I think I over did it…again.
@Nip @Slug_Life I hear ya on loosing plants…I’m the same way…I grow only outdoors and its once a year but since mostly Autos I get two crops a year but yeah once thats over thats it…Its a bitch to loose any for any reason…It is a labor of love …
@AL_GREEN Good lookin’ out! For some flavors,I wait until a review is posted. And you got me wondering…
I’m in Cali-and the forest fires are at it again. I hope the remainder of my garden can make it to “cloudy land.”
All those plants look amazing! Rot sucks. I’m stating to think of it as the cost of being able to grow outdoors. Cutting down on watering should help as long as the soil doesn’t get too dry.
@Naturalmedsman and that is the jist…not too dry. I hear ya I even thought of emptying my containers, adding more pumice, and replanting.I use porous bags with holes-Rainscience- but I just may have to do that once everyone is done.
On to other news…
Okay, so I am drying my ladies in the garage. Nosy neighbors could smell the stench and thought I had a gas leak. The utility company came by to do an inspection. “We got a call of a gas leak…”
The guy walked to my backyard and goes,“Oh…but they smell good, bro” I almost gave him an 1/2OZ just for the inconvenience
But he did his rudimentary check with a probe, and no leaks found.
Haters gonna hate.
