2/20/23 - Start of grow. 4 seeds set to soak in distilled water. 4 fabric pots prepared with FFHF and nutrient reservoir of Natures Living Soil Autoflower Concentrate. Harvest anticipated in 90 days, May 20 +/-.
3/4/23 - Start of vegetative phase 12 days from seed. Watering plants with Ice Mountain natural spring water every other day. Breaking top of soils with fingers once per week to aid water absorption and to help aeration. Used humidity domes for the first 12 days and permanently removed them today. LED lighting (2-1000W Koscheal) 32” above plants on a 20 on and 4 off schedule. I’ll begin lowering lights about 1.5” per week till flower start ending with lights (20”+/-) above top of canopy. Temps 73-80F with 36-45% RH.
3/20, 4 weeks from seed, flowering starts. “Tucking” fan leaves that are blocking light from bud sites. “Pruned” lowest fan leaves and branches at day 24. I’ll post current pics soon.
I’m guessing it’s 1 week into flowering but that’s my opinion. The exact transition from vegetative to flowering is subjective. I did notice signs that flowering was getting ready to start about 7-10 days ago.
49 days from seed! WOW that was quick. I’m anticipating 2 more weeks before harvest. If you look closely at these pics you may notice most, but not all trichomes are milky, not clear. Very few are amber. These pics are from the plant pictured above.
4/24, HARVEST DAY! Trichomes going amber all over. Couldn’t wait any longer. The smell is heavenly. I’m shocked this is 63 days (9weeks) from seed. Pics below are from the best of 4 plants. I’ll report once more in about 3 weeks on taste, my take on potency, and any other final notes for this grow. Probably start next grow (#8) around the end of May, (Orange Sherbert).
Would love to see whole plant. One week into PP grow. How tall and such, have Dos and Banana also, thinkinking those two will be tall and Punch on small side.
@Mosca, thanks for your comments. The plant you asked about was about 18” top of cola to dirt and 14” +/- in diameter. The branch colas stretched to about 14” in height. There were 10 branches spaced evenly on the main stem up to about 12”. Most of my journal pics feature this plant since as it outpaced the others during this grow. I’m most impressed with the 7 week seed to harvest time.
Final report for this grow. 10 weeks seed to cured bud ready to smoke. 20g per plant average.
I’ve smoked weed for almost 50 years so my take on potency is probably biased by my personal tolerance. The smoke is smooth and burns slow. Rolls with ease. Smells great with medium density buds that are almost as sticky as GG4. Good head buzz on 3 tokes with a little body high. Don’t roll this strain too tight it will not draw very well. Run thru a grinder would be best and pack your pipe or bong.
Next grow “Orange Sherbet” strain. Supposed to be high THC and produce large heavy buds. We shall see. Look for my next grow journal starting near the end of May.
