I brought these girls home and set them in the yard for a few days to get their new homes ready. I live in Oklahoma and it was super hot over the past three days. They all had plenty of water throughout the day yesterday this happened. And the smaller ones deep green color is like evaporating?Is this because of a nutrient deficiency or what? This is my first time paying attention to what I’m doing and I’m not quite sure what’s going on?

Were they outside pla ts previously of not they have to be hardened off before taken outside. The harder uv rays and direct sun is a bit diff from led inside. Needs to be kinda broke into the outside world basically

Too much sun too soon. Too much water. Too small of pots for the conditions. Any of these. Move them to shade. Let them dry a little between watering. Bigger pots with good drainage.

Here they are much later in the day and I fed them FF and they seem to be much happier. I have to wait till later in the day to put them into bigger pots but they look like they’re going to recover. Thanks for the help guys.
Now their leaves are all pointing towards the sky and I can tell it’s like they have life breathed back into them.

They look much better and they will get acclimated to full sun. Part of the reason your leaves are praying like that is they are reacting to the major increase in light that they have received unexpectedly.
Give it a few days of partial sun and you’ll be fine to stick right out there as long as you put them in bigger pots

Perfect! I don’t know if the big guy is going to make it or not but if he doesn’t oh well I learned a very valuable lesson. Plus it’s a gorilla glue and so I’m here in Oklahoma and I’ve read that Indica’s are really hard to grow in hot hot climate. Thanks for the info. I will be starting a grown journal soon. When you put those up into bigger pots make sure you go to at least a 5 gallon pot. Nothing smaller. 10 gallon, 15 gallon or bigger would also be just fine. I use 25 gallon.

Yeah that’s a great idea! I didn’t know I could do anything like that. This is my first few days here so I’m not sure how cool or whatever people are especially the mods. I wanted to ask something? What is a brand of pot that is fabric I can get that is not black? All the ones I have found online or black and I would like to go with something that doesn’t suck up all the sunlight and damage my plants…
That’s actually one thing I’ve had a terrible time finding a reasonable price on at my local agway. I’m usually happy to spend a little more to support local and have instant gratification but grow bags are priced way too high - like $25 each when I can get a five pack for that much from a giant faceless online retailer who shall remain nameless.
I bought a 5 pack of 25 gallon tan colored grow bags made by “iPower” from said retailer for $25. So far so good. These grow bags seem to all be pretty much the same.

I read a lot of reviews about a bunch of different companies and from the reviews a lot of them sound like they don’t last very long or that the handles break. If I’m gonna spend the money I want to get something that works and it lasts for a few grows. I will look into that company I haven’t heard of them yet.

I live in Oklahoma City and it’s really balls hot here in the summertime so I know my plans will thank me for giving them a beige or white. I’ve got to get a very light color so they don’t cook. Here’s a picture of the big one this morning and I don’t think she’s able to recover from the shock! All my other girls seem to be adjusting just fine and hardening off pretty well. I think I’m just going to sacrifice the big one And redirect my focus on the smaller ones. It will save me in soil cost and give me an extra pot in the long run. What do any of you suggest. Just sacrifice the big one and take one for the team?

Yeah I’ve been using white Rain Science or Radicle mesh grow bags for last couple grows and prefer them over the fabric grow bags, they cost quite a bit more but also are much more reusable as I generally just throw away fabric grow bags after one grow. Both the Rain Science and Radicle mesh grow bags cost about $10 each for the 5 gallon size.

Hey thanks dude! There’s no way I could afford to do that and just throw them away after one use. I ordered some last night from Visosun and went with the five pack, beige colored ones.
@Hellraiser I’ve read through some of your journals and you grow some amazing stuff! Definitely taking any advice you throw my way.

How long does hardening off take and what is a suggested method for doing such? Anyone please help…

@Deez how is the smartest way on going about hardening off these ladies? I put them in the sun today and I’m leaving them out there for a couple hours and then putting them back into the shade but I’m not sure how long and how much sun as needed? And will this take weeks or what I’m pretty lost.
Nah three or four days and that’s all you need. If you have a tree you can stick them under dappled sunlight that’s my favorite way.
It’s about the intensity of the light rather than the duration. You don’t want them exposed full on sunlight right now do you want them to get either indirect light or partially shaded light. That’s why I stick mine under a tree and you know some sunlight filters through the leaves down to the bottom where the plants are sitting

@Sara27 here’s my journal and a picture of my girls from a few minutes ago. If you will look back in my journal a few days you will see some of the problems that I’ve dealt with and what the problems look like when they happened so you can learn a little bit more and know what to look for or what is happening when things like that happen do your plants if they ever do. I thought you might want to learn a little bit from what I was talking about so I wanted to show you and I wanted to show you what my plans look like this morning. I’m only using the jacks trio and ocean forest soil. I’m going to let mother nature do her thing and only interfere in giving extra food.
