16 straight or the poor plant will get confused by light cycles and will flower early if a photo.

Indoor growing needs a light source to grow plants. Plants have internal clocks with schedules triggered by the light source.

Sure …you can do any light schedule you want. But, the plants won’t respond as they should.

You may run the risk of herming em out.

And that’s before we think of how much you take off the lifetime of whatever light is used thanks to it being turned on and off more than necessary

All good points
You want continuous light hours
16 hour on 8 off
18-6 works well also
No less then 16 or the plants will want to flower
All plants need a rest period
I have seen experiments with growers of autos doing the 8 on 3 off 8 on 3 off but they where growing autos not photos strains

@Countryboyjvd1971…how did the 8/3…8/3 autos turn out?

Actually i wasnt me that tried it
but they did turn out well forget exactly what it yielded
Ill try and find a utube link to it it was iver a year ago though that i was checking it out @tanlover442
I wouldn’t do it on my plants s myself

Always curious…I constantly seek a better way of doing things.
Did the youtube video look it produced a bigger result? Just the hours or topping/lst?
