I have a big vent in room at top and wondered, can I just use an exhaust fan

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

I’m doing a first time grow, closet/wardrobe. I have a big vent in room at top and wondered, can I just use an exhaust fan

you could, but the smell off the plants will travel to where ever the vents go. But yes, you can vent anywhere you choose. But if smell is an issue, consider a filter and fan combo before venting to control some of the smell…

Hi, If you do vent the closest with an exhaust fan it is a good idea to allow air intake into the closest. This will do 2 things. Will assist the exhaust fan to remove the old air from the closest and also replenish the air for the co2 the plants need

If you use this vent check and see if you will blow back into the furnace. You don’t want to send hot air back into your a coil on your furnace and make your ac control’s read funny because when the ac shuts off your exhaust fan is always going
