I don't think Al Gore has any friends. Autoflower grow, start to finish

No, it’s not you, the pics I posted aren’t from an angle where you can see. I have pics from the night I topped them that were taken looking straight at the stem where I cut it. In those, you’ll be able to see it.

Hey, Cap. Long time grower here and fellow Rush fan! My next run will be Autos for sure. I like what you’ve got going here.
Best regards, Edge.

Welcome back @BigEdge! Glad you’re following along. I think you’re the 5th or 6th fellow Rush fan who’s stopped by the thread already. I guess great music and great homegrown buds go hand in hand, lol.

I have cheaters as well, and mine are all over the place too! I’m always losing or miss placing the damn things so I got like maybe almost a dozen everywhere I have them in the basement in my bedroom I have them in the living room and two or three in my car at any given moment, so I’m always having one pair somewhere😂 Sometimes I have 2 or 3 sitting on one table. The wife gets a little annoyed, but hey, what can I say I lose shit all the time😂 and my phone as well I’m always misplacing that damn thing…

@Cap_Ron , thought of another question. When you soak your seeds; just plain water or peroxide/water? Don’t really understand the peroxide thing or if it matters. I forget to comment on your spiffy cup stand also. Very nice. I like it.:+1:

@Fishyswaw, I use plain R/O water to soak my seeds most of the time. I’ve never used peroxide, but if I’m using older seeds that I’ve had for more than a couple of years I add a bit of kelp to the seed soak water.

I made those cup trays after a near disaster with a batch of seedlings. I was walking with 8 seedlings in solo cups just sitting on the tray a few years ago and one of my cats got under my feet and tripped me up. I managed to keep them upright, but knew I needed a better system.

They work great. If you want to make a few, you can get the fast food trays and the hardware on Amazon for a few bucks.

A question about mixing AN nutes. AN says to mix the base in order of M,G,B but doesn’t mention adding other ingredients to it. I have read articles that say silica, if used, first then base then anything else, I’ve also read articles that say calmag first then base in order then whatever else.
I’m having to water every 24-36 hours, do you feed every watering. If so do you divide the recommended strength by 7 and feed it that way along with monitoring EC run off and make slight adjustments the next day if needed. My runoff pH keeps creeping up too, I’ve gotten it down to 7.2 from 8 but that took 6 gal of pH 6 water to get there next feeding it creeps up again, contemplating adding soil acidifier or organic amendment. I realize they say it’s pH perfect but it seems there might be a limit to what’s an acceptable pH range.

So silica is always first when I’m using it, and I wait at least a half hour after mixing it before adding anything else.

Cal/mag is next after the silica.

Base nutrients are next in the recommended order.

Bloom boosters or any additives with NPK values are next.

Then any non nutrient additives, like microbes, fungi, wetting agents, ect are last to go in.

So I personally never give plain waterings. I add nutrients to every feeding. I try to keep the runoff EC somewhere between 900 - 1300, and to do that my average feedings are between 650 - 1000EC. There’s no way to say exactly what to feed, you have to go by the runoff and how each individual plant looks.

@Cap_Ron , does the kelp help soften the shell?

I can’t remember the exact effect it’s supposed to have, but I saw a video several years ago by Harley Smith where he said that kelp is a great additive for a seed soak if your seeds had been sitting around for a while.

Not 100% sure, but I think it was in one of these videos.

Actually it might have been this one as well.

He’s clearly trying to push the NPK product line, but it’s all great information no matter what brand you’re using.

I’m so sorry I haven’t been updating the journal. A few weeks ago I was looking for stuff to do to keep busy, then all of a sudden I got so busy I can’t take a 5 minute break.

Anyway, these girls are 30 days old today. I switched from Veg to Bloom nutrients last night because all of them are either flowering or in pre flower already.

That’s everyone except the Sour Stomper x Forum Stompers. I forgot to get pics of them while they were out for a feeding last night, so here they are back in their 2 x 4.
