I am wondering how I determine the right time to switch lights from 16 hours to 10 hours for flowering, do I do it when I see first sign of bud or do I just do it at a particular week like week 7 for example? I assume this may vary from strain to strain so how will I know for each different strain of plant the right time to induce flowering??

Photo seeds you can switch to flower schedule when the plant is mature enough usually around 4th week of veg
But you can veg longer if you wanted to
Max hieght is something you should consider also
Auto will start to flower when they are ready and I personally switch to a 12-12 schedule when i see the first signs of flowering
