They look healthy and growing amazing good job
Nitrate, that’s the first number in the 3 numbers that are on the nutes?
Thanks for the heads up Graysin, I’ll def keep an eye on that.
Thanks for the compliments, it’s a rocky road and I guess since you grow and raise them from seeds, you nit pick all of the things and not look at the big picture. Like they say, everyone’s their own worse critic.
Im sure I’ll grow out of that though.
Nope. You’ll just get less picky as you learn what issues are easily addressed and which ones are worth worrying about. Pests and mildew are my big 2.
Yep! Your levels should be N(itrogen) - P(hosporus) - K (potassium) on the labels in that order.
After seeing your picture of light burn, I think that’s what happened recently here. They may have been too close to my purple lights
I don’t think so, to be honest. Your discoloring is starting lower than light burn would be. If it was burn it’d be on your top leaves first.
Yeah I thought of that afterwards laugh out loud. Though my purple lights are on the sides level with the plant. I have the AeroGarden light at the top hovering about 6” above the highest leaves.
I calibrated my PH meter and a new cheaper one today, the first one was off by only .05 so my PH has not been too far off. I got the new one so I can spot check everyone and then and make sure they’re not too different.
The girls are growing a lot and starting to have a pungent smell of skunk. They are still getting brown spots on newer leaves. No pics of it at the moment. But I feel I have a well balanced nutrients for them.
PH 5.8 on the dot.
When PH is low I have been using silica to bring it up, only takes a few drops. When PH is high, I add some nutrient water with calmag to bring it lower.
Matilda is growing out like a bush, I have been doing a bit of light LST to pull some branches down and out to allow new branches to get light.
Droopy is not so droopy, and growing straight up mostly. Most of her branches are already out of the way to allow even light on them.
Pics to come later when I do her nightly PH and POM check.
3rd times the charm? Had to load each one individually
I do notice the leaves with the spots are on the original branches that turned purple due to deficiency. I guess they were bound to get some spots while they focused their energy on the new branches and growth.
I wonder if I should trim the branches off that are still purple to remove any damaged parts.
I’d give her a couple of day to establish some leaves to replace those first, but then again, it’s a personal choice. Looking good!
That sounds legit to me. Droopy is looking a bit bare since her deficiency and trimming the previous leaves with spots. Thanks for the advice!
