At the moment I’ve got I’ve got a 600 watt HPS and I need to get another light but my electric bill is getting really high…Is it possible to put a LED light along side my other one…If not has anyone got any good ideas about what I can do to save on my bill?
You asked if you could use both type lamps, side by side, right?
You can pretty much do whatever you like, as long as you have the room and can control temps and humidity. Growers are mixing all different light types in order to achieve maximum yield.

Mixing LEDs and HPS is fine. The added light spectrum from the LEDs will only help the buds produce more trichomes. I had to pull power from another area for the additional lights cuz I had an ac unit for the heat and those HPS ballasts and ac maxed the breaker so the LEDs were enough to put it over.
