how would you recommend pruneing the buds that are in the shade

U can prune the lower buds off as they are just taking the energy out of the plant and won’t be big fat ones, makes the plant spend its energy in the big fatties up top

Removing some of the lower growth will definitely benefit your top buds just dont go over board
I personally will remove everything thats close to the soil
Hieght of plant determines how much to remove
Experience helps there so i time it will be easy for you to determine how much to remove
