These are the buds with close up of 2. Is she foxtailing and is there anything else I can do to stop her?

Oh, temp is 77 lights on/68 off.

Yes she’s fox tailing, might just be in the genetics…? Idk. All your parameters sound good… 65% humidity is on the high side but won’t cause that…

You’ve pulled your nitrogen feeding down correct? It looks like it… fade looks good.

Might just be how that one is…

Reduce light mid to end of flower, too much intensity. Genetic foxtailing usually happens early in flower and there isn’t much you can do about that scenario.

High intensity lights late in flower can cause foxtails. Genetics as stated can too. You can clip the offending foxtail back to the cola and looks like you’ve already cut back on the lights.

Dimming the light is primary measure. Some strains are more prone to foxtails than others. I grew some purple haze under a Sonofarm 4000. I started backing off on the light 43 days from flip. I dropped the draw to 250. A week later I dropped it again to 220. I also decreased nutrient concentration.
This is on day 70. This bud showed more foxtailing than other

Thanks everyone. Gonna drop the PPFD down again.

the bulking is done you could drop to 600 ppfd but where you are at now is generally where I finish my plants buddy

Most likely seed genetics has most to do with the foxtailing. The plant on the left side of these pictures stretched a lot after the light flip, and had a lot of foxtailing. The plant on right side did neither, and behaved very well. They were both Skywalker seeds from the same seed order, and both were grown under identical conditions.
Naturally I took a couple clones from the plant on the right. Clones from a plant known not to have the foxtailing genetics will be the only way to insure it is not in the genes. But when all is said and done, it is about the appearance. The taste, smell, and quality will not be affected by foxtailing, unless it is extreme and really stretches the buds.

I agree with @Low, that’s a good PPFD to finish at, this is the reason I didn’t mention light intensity cause you clearly know this by dropping it once already. Maybe give her more time and she will stop.

Either way it’s not detrimental, just snip it off and call it a day :+1:
