Are there any instructions on how much to feed your plants after the fertilizer is mixed? Fro example: I have seedling fertilizer that requires 0.5 g/ per liter. That’s a lot of fertilizer for 4 plants. Should I feed my seedlings with an eye dropper, or maybe a teaspoon? How big must a plant be before it’s no longer a seedling? I can’t send a picture. I don’t know how. My plants are about an inch and a half tall. They have 6 leaves. Please help. This is getting complicated. It’s not like the weed I grew 40 plus years ago.
I wouldn’t even use nutrient’s for the first month or so, especially if you’re using a quality soil like happy frog, or comparable.
When theyre ready for feeding, you can mix that and dont have to use it all at once. Leftovers keep a short time, shake it up regularly.
I have rich soil I used to grow vegetables. I know how to mix the nutrient solution. I just don’t know how to dispense it. At 0.5 g per liter it must be pretty potent mojo. I have heard of some funny brand name soil, but I can’t afford to buy it because my budget is maxed out. With the money I’ve spent I could buy two ounces of bitchin weed. . Thanks for helping me out.
You need a TDS meter Less than twenty bucks. This will let you check your p p m after mixing to feed. Also a good ph meter (apera) would be a good choice. will allow you to check p h after mixing nutes.
Happy growing
I have a tds meter and a whole bunch of other gadgets. I have spent a lot of money on this project. I need to know how do I despense the nutrients. Do I need an eye dropper? Do I spoon feed it? Should I pour it out of the jug until the soil is saturated? Please help.
Seedlings only need a small amount of water. I like to water in a six inch circular pattern around small plant but don’t saturate the soil. What brand soil are you using?
The 64k question is how much do I feed each plant and how. Do I need an eye dropper or something larger? This is becoming a complicated project. I grew some weed in 1984. I chucked the seeds in the ground and mother nature did the rest. My how times have changed.
I don’t have a brand of soil. Im using a rich soil from my vegetable garden. Im not growing vegetables this year. I put the soil in ten gallon fabric pots. Im not ready to transplant. I bring the seedings indoors at night because it is too cold. Daytime temperature is upper 70s/low 80s.night time temperature drops to mid 50s. I’m just needing to know how much volume of nutrients should I use per feeding.
I would Start with half dosage of recommended amount. I don’t normally feed my seedlings . Go easy don’t burn your seedlings up Most of the time less is better. Hope that helps my friend !
You mentioned its a seedling fertilizer, as mentioned above, if your not sure, its better to do less than more. Depending on size of container they are in, example, lots do seedlings in solo cups were only milliliters of water needed.
The last advise given above, keep water away from trunk of seedling, about 2 inches away moving further away.
This helps promote roots growth.
With the money ive spent, ive paid for a few lbs of bitchin weed
I guess your asking how much mixture you use per plant and how. Yes it would be strong if all the mixture was fed to all at once. But you will only use the amount you would use if just watering. That would be no problem because it’s already the right strength and if you give too much it will run out the bottom. If you want en axample I’d need pot size, plant size, watering history, what kind of temp and airflow you got. Or just mix that solution and water till it comes out the bottom, then let it completely (whoops not completely but barely moist) dry out and repeat
I have a small peat pot for my seedlings. They are a happy little green plants. I can’t keep the water from puddling around the plant stems.
Hi sorry I offered advice while didn’t know enough about your grow. Are they peat pucks or small peat pots with soil in them, and how big. Able to post pictures yet?
Make a little trench around the surface to direct the water. My soil is different than yours it holds water and drains different. But it’s an example this just took about 3oz. Bigger plant it will need water sooner but the same amount. The weed on the left is less than a week old, soon the dome will come off and she’ll get about the same. One will dry out faster because has more roots. If I pour in too much that’s ok it runs out the bottom and takes an extra day to dry out again. Using tap water or nutes at “seedling strength” I don’t notice any difference until under the “big light” in their final home.
.5 gram in gal. Do not overwater. Put clear dome on top. To post a pic, click on the pic thing at bottom of message. Load pic and wait til gets to 100%, then click Reply
