How sticky are buds when harvesting?

How sticky are your buds when you harvest? Seams like if I wait for trichomes to turn amber the bud loses all it stink and sticky

Depends on how good a grower u are and the strain.

Maybe if your buds dried up some. Get too hot. Or maybe a nutritional issue.

By the time I harvest, I have to wear those rubber gloves or else I’ll never get the sticky off my hands.

Only time I’ve ever seen them lose the smell is when spider mites showed up. Wear gloves.

Ditto. In fact - I’ll change the gloves (and clean clippers) frequently or they get too sticky to gently handle the buds…. Re: getting it off, I use 99% isopropyl alcohol for cleaning anything weed related. At least >90. That 70% stuff is nowhere near as effective.

Getting them sticky in the first place is a function of several things. Seems odd that they would be sticky up until the trichomes turn amber. Someone with more chops (pun intended :slight_smile: ) can weigh in on that.
