a lot of folks use wielded wire fencing to scrog…trellis nets are everywhere, amazon, lowes, walmart…
i’ve used nets and they are tricky just to get out of package.
i’m trying the wire next,i believe it will work out great…hope this helps @MBgrower

Thank you for sharing your experience , I think I’m going to use the wire fence and cut it so it fits around the tomato cage , I’m thinking of cutting the cage so the wire won’t be so far away from the plant, which rises another question , How far should the wired fence be from the plant ? There still young , about a month and a half old
Thank you @BIGE for all your help and support!!!

I built my Scrog 4’x4’ for under 15$ with pvc tubing and a ball of string.

it is good to have screen mobile for upward growth, mine has gotten away from me and i’m going to add another screen to catch up…
i have a confined space on my scrog, about 20’‘by24’‘by5’ tall…after a few days of just turning light on and off and it has bound up bottom web…lol
have you seen any videos on youtube on this?
i leaned my girl over under the screen at about that age,it really depends on your preferance…and size on screen too…
if you was able to have 4by4 screen i would want my plant bigger to fill screen up…
anyway there are many variables to factor, try experimenting with small bends and weaves at first then fill out screen…have fun!!!

that screen will get the job done for sure @Stomper…awesome looking grow!!

Beautiful plants @Stomper , I see your plants are in a tent , I’m growing in fabric pots - totally outside but your post gave me the answer I needed. I have so many tomato cages , I’m going to cut them (for a frame in each pot) then I’m going to use spring , like you did . Just one other question , How old should the be and how far. My girls are about a month and half , they have 7 to 8 nodes on them , just don’t know what the right distance should be. What I was thinking is the cages can be moves up or down for distance. From that picture , how close is your net and have you had the change the distance??
I’m also going to try training one of them , bending - still not sure , have more reading to do before even think of trying it:eyeglasses:

Are there any articles I could read about bending ?

The height of the Scrog is usually about 10" above the top of the soil. If you want to veg longer for bigger plants you can make it a little higher. The net can go over the plants from the very beginning or be added when they get tall enough to need it.

Outdoors is definitely different than inside. Are you growing autos or photos? With photos you won’t see flowering until the third week of Sept gets us to 12/12 sunlight. Outdoor plants can get huge with 5 months veg time.

They are not autos , Strawberry Kush (feminized seeds from ILGM) I also want to clone , but I thing my growing season is going to be to short - but I want to try for next season, going to start much much earlier!! I’ll tag you with a picture @Stomper . Thank you so so so so much :sunglasses:

indoor growers put the net about 24 inches from the ground and switch to 12 12 when the net is about 2/3 full
