Quick question guys how often do you calibrate your Apera pH meter?
I check mine weekly and calibrate if needed. Since I calibrated it about a month ago it has not needed it since.
So far once in the last month. I always reference with the 7.0. If it’s off, I calibrate.
Always good to do a 2 point check. 4 and 7 or whatever your pH calibration solutions are.
Once a month at least. I always place the meter in fresh tap water first. If it reads outside pH 7-7.2 I calibrate; using pH 7 and 4 solutions. Sometimes I just do it just to be sure.
I also store it in the proper storage solution, although I’ve heard of others storing it in the pH 4 calibration solution.
I check calibration every Monday, and recalibrate as necessary.
I calibrate mine beginning of growing season. (im outside grower) then as needed. Im blessed to have consistent water ph and very low ppm. I could almost mix nutes with out testing but I do. Its easy to tell if im getting out of wack …. and I do store it in the proper storage solution over the winter.
My pH meter is setup for one point calibration… takes literally 2 seconds so I calibrate a couple times a week
