If I want 4 different strains to grow in my tent, how many seeds of each strain would you start? I want to pick the most vigorous plants.

The most important consideration is how much space you have. Overcrowding will harm yields.
Plant health is more about environment than it is strain. There are some strains that are highly developed (e.g. white widow,) but environment is more important. Focus on the basics for vigorous growth (proper soil, watering, a balanced nutrient product, good lighting, management of pH and PPM,…)

How many photo plants would you grow in a 4x4? I had 4 my last grow and it was a tent full.

I’ve done 3 photos in a 4x4 before without too much trouble. It does leave enough room to get around to tend to the plants, trim, capture runoff, and so on.

I’m just going with 3 this time. 2 godfather og and an incredible bulk. That should leave enough room for me to squeeze in there too lol.

I am currently planning to grow 2 photoperiod plants in a 4x4. I plan to veg until the canopy is full.

This is a 4x4 and 1 plant. Its entirely up to you how you want to grow. In a 4x4 id never go over 4 plants. And even then youll be sqeezed for space if you veg them more than a month. This was a 3 month veg. Takes a bit longer between harvests but i prefer to squeeze out every last possible bud

I usually veg for ~10 weeks and get canopies that are 2.5x2.5 at maturity.
